This OUTDOOR RATED (IP66) 12-in (30cm) long power splitter cable allows you to power multiple outdoor electronic devices from a DC power source such as one of our rechargeable solar panels or an AC/DC wall power adapter. This outdoor power splitter cable has a single M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm female barrel socket at the end of the common cable and M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm male barrel plugs at the split ends of the cable. Weatherproof seals are created by the M12-1.75 screw connectors which keep out water and dirt creating reliable connections. These weatherproof seals are created by compression of the rubber o-rings on the male connectors when they are firmly screwed together with the mating female connectors (refer to illustrations). This outdoor power splitter cable works with the M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel connectors on our outdoor battery eliminator kits and outdoor accessories such as our outdoor power extension cables, outdoor active dummy cell batteries, and our rechargeable solar panels. The outdoor rated connectors on this cable will mate with regular (non-weatherproof) 5.5mm x 2.1mm DC barrel connectors, but the connections will not be weatherproof (water and dirt).

Please make sure the mating connectors used with this cable have M12-1.75 connectors. M12 specifies the diameter of the threads as 12mm (refer to illustrations), and 1.75 specifies the pitch of the screw threads as 1.75mm and is the distance between threads in mm (refer to illustrations). If the mating connectors do not have the same thread diameters and the same thread pitches, then the screw nuts will not work, and the rubber O-rings will not be properly compressed which is necessary to create weatherproof seals. The connectors on this cable will mate with regular (non-weatherproof) 5.5mm x 2.1mm DC barrel connectors (male plugs and female sockets), but the connection will not be weatherproof (water and dirt).
