Batteries slowly die over time, and electronic devices may start exhibiting erratic behavior such as running slower and/or dimmer as the batteries approach their end-of-life voltage. Since our Battery Eliminator Kits supply a constant voltage, it’s like always having a fresh battery in your electronic device! This Battery Eliminator Kit contains an AC to DC Wall Power Adapter that can power devices such as flameless LED candles, clocks, toys, etc. This new and improved Next-Generation 1 x D Battery Eliminator Kit has a single-component D Active Dummy Cell Battery that more closely resembles an actual D battery in construction and terminal conductive surfaces. This new single-component design eliminates the need for a 2-component Active Dummy Cell Battery constructed of a AA Active Dummy Cell Battery inserted into a AA to D converter shell which were used in the original first-generation 1 x D Battery Eliminator Kit. This new single-component design eliminates the AA Active Dummy Cell Battery falling out of the AA to D converter shell, and the small and unreliable contact surface areas! No more worrying about the positive terminals of the AA Dummy Cell Battery making good contact with the internal positive terminal of the AA to D converter shell. No more wondering if the positive and negative terminals are making good contact with the terminals in the battery compartment! These new features mean less hassle, more reliable terminal connections, and an overall superior solution!

The D Active Dummy Cell Battery included in this kit is the same size as a regular D battery, so it easily fits into the electronic device's battery compartment space. Please observe the correct polarity just as you would when inserting a real battery. The thin flat flexible cable (FFC cable) coming out of the D Active Dummy Cell Battery can easily be run around the side of most battery compartment covers, so the original battery compartment cover can still be used. In some cases, it might be necessary to take a small file and file out a shallow groove in the battery compartment cover to give the FFC cable more room to run around the side of the cover.

The AC to DC Wall Power Adapter included in this kit is designed for use with the included D Active Dummy Cell Battery. The AC to DC Wall Power Adapter plugs into a standard wall outlet and converts the 120VAC coming from the wall outlet into 1.5VDC which is the voltage required to power electronic devices that use 1 x D battery. Since this AC to DC Wall Power Adapter can supply up to 0.3A of output current, it can power most electronic device on the market that uses 1 x D battery including toys, clocks, flameless LED candles, etc. The D Active Dummy Cell Battery FFC cable and AC to DC Wall Power Adapter cable can easily be hidden behind furniture, plants and under table cloths, rugs, decorative snow, etc.

NOTE: Since each regular D battery supplies 1.5VDC, 1 x D battery will supply 1.5VDC. The included AC to DC Wall Adapter supplies an output voltage of 1.5VDC which is within the acceptable range required by electronic devices that use 1 x D battery. A new D battery supplies 1.5VDC and gradually decreases over time to its end-of-life voltage which is generally considered to be 0.8VDC. As the battery slowly dies over time and approach this end-of-life voltage, electronic devices will start behaving erratically and may run slower and/or dimmer. Since the included AC to DC Wall Power Adapter supplies a constant 1.5VDC, your electronic devices will always operate as if you just inserted a fresh battery!

NOTE: The D Active Dummy Cell Battery is not a real battery and will not power an electronic device on its own. It needs to be used in conjunction with the included AC to DC Wall Power Adapter as discussed above and illustrated in the pictures and diagrams.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The included AC to DC Wall Power Adapter converts 120VAC coming from a standard wall outlet to the voltage produced by a single D cell battery (1.5VDC). This conversion process results in the generation of some electrical noise which may interfere with the proper operation of certain types of sensitive electronic devices such as detection and measurement devices and motion sensors. If your electronic device operates erratically after replacing the D battery with this 1 x D Battery Eliminator Kit, then the electrical noise generated by the AC to DC Wall Power Adapter is most likely interfering with the proper operation of your electronic device, and this kit will not work, and you will need to continue to power your device with a regular D battery. We apologize for this inconvenience, and you can return the kit for a full refund.
