Description

This connector adapter has a micro-USB female socket on one end and a 5.5mm x 2.1mm male barrel plug at the other end. This adapter is used to convert a micro-USB male plug to a 5.5mm x 2.1mm male barrel plug. Great for converting a micro-USB male plug on a power source such as an AC/DC wall power adapter (see WARNING) to a 5.5mm x 2.1mm male barrel plug. See pictures for an illustration of a typical application. The 5.5mm x 2.1mm male barrel plug at one end of this connector adapter works with the 5.5mm x 2.1mm female barrel sockets found on our battery eliminator kit accessories such as our active dummy cell batteries, power extension cables, and power splitter cables. This connector adapter only supports power and does not support USB data transmission.

WARNING

USB industry standards dictate that power supply voltages transmitted through adapters with USB connectors be +5VDC to avoid inadvertently applying incorrect voltages to +5VDC USB powered electronic devices. Other DC voltages can be transmitted through this adapter such as 3.3VDC, 6VDC, 9VDC, 12VDC, etc.; however, in this use-case, great care should be exercised to prevent the inadvertent application of these voltages to +5VDC USB powered electronic devices as damage to these devices might occur.
