Description
This connector adapter has a USB C male plug
on one end and a micro-USB female socket at the other end. This adapter is used
to convert a micro-USB male plug to a USB C male plug. Great for converting a micro-USB male plug on
a power source such as an AC/DC wall power adapter (see WARNING) to a USB C male
plug. See pictures for an illustration
of a typical application. This connector
adapter supports power and USB 2.0 data transmission rates (480Mbps).
WARNING
USB industry standards dictate that power
supply voltages transmitted through adapters with USB connectors be +5VDC to
avoid inadvertently applying incorrect voltages to +5VDC USB powered electronic
devices. Other DC voltages can be
transmitted through this adapter such as 3.3VDC, 6VDC, 9VDC, 12VDC, etc.;
however, in this use-case, great care should be exercised to prevent the
inadvertent application of these voltages to +5VDC USB powered electronic
devices as damage to these devices might occur.
