Tree Mount Bracket with Swivel Head Mount and Standard 1/4"-20 Tripod Mount Male Screw Threads - Works with Solar Panels & Accessories

Description

This tree mount bracket with swivel head mount is great for mounting solar panels and other devices such as trail cameras to trees and wooden posts. The swivel head mount screws onto the tree mount bracket via standard 1/4”-20 tripod screw threads, and the top of the swivel head mount has standard 1/4”-20 male tripod screw threads for mounting solar panels, trails cameras and many other types of devices that have standard 1/4”-20 female tripod screw threads. The swivel head mount is adjustable for versatile positioning of solar panels and trail cameras. The tree mount bracket has self-tapping tapered wood screw threads for mounting to trees or wooden posts. Both the tree mount bracket and swivel head mount are made of weather and rust-resistant materials.

Swivel Head Mount

The swivel head mount has 1/4"-20 male screw threads on the top for attachment to our solar panels that have 1/4"-20 female screw thread sockets on the back. The swivel head mount can be attached to the tree mount bracket which has 1/4"-20 male screw threads for attachment to the bottom of this swivel head mount which has a 1/4"-20 female screw thread socket. The swivel head mount can be adjusted in both azimuth and elevation. The azimuth angle can be rotated a full 360°, and the elevation angle can be adjusted up to 45° and a full 90° when the stem on the swivel ball is positioned in the notch in the housing. These versatile adjustment options allow for positioning of solar panels to better align with the direction of the sun. See the illustrations for more details about these positioning options and application examples. Once the position of the solar panel is determined, the adjustment knob can be firmly tightened to hold the solar panel in place. The non-slip textured finish on the top of the round base jam nut helps to prevent the solar panel from inadvertently rotating, and the round base jam nut can also be firmly tightened up against the back of the solar panel to further prevent inadvertent rotation. The housing of the swivel head mount is made of a black anodized aluminum alloy, and the swivel ball, stem and screw threads are made of a chrome plated steel to help prevent rust & corrosion. The swivel head mount has a diameter of 1.12” (2.84cm), and its overall height is 2.06” (5.24cm). This swivel head mount can also be used with tripods, digital cameras, cell phones, camcorders, trail cameras, security cameras, camera flashes, and many other types of devices that have standard 1/4"-20 tripod screw threads.

Tree Mount Bracket

The tree mount bracket has 1/4"-20 male screw threads on one end for attachment of the swivel head mount, and the other end has self-tapping tapered wood screw threads for screwing into a tree or wooden post. The tree mount bracket is painted black and is made of a steel/iron alloy to help prevent rust & corrosion. The tree mount bracket has an overall length of 7.4” (18.796cm), and the diameter of the rod is 0.275” (0.6985cm). Even though the tree mount bracket has self-tapping wooden screw threads, we recommend drilling a small pilot hole in the tree or wooden post to made it easier to screw in the tree mount bracket.

· Firmly tighten adjustment knob to prevent attached device from rotating or moving from the desired position. Failure to properly tighten the adjustment knob can result in damage to the attached device.

· Firmly tighten round base jam nut up against attached device to prevent it from rotating or moving from the desired position. Failure to properly tighten the round base jam nut up against the attached device can result in damage to the attached device.

· Best for use with devices weighing less than 4lbs.

· It is recommended to drill a small pilot hole in the tree or wooden post for easier installation of the tree mount bracket.

· Make sure the tree mount bracket is firmly screwed into the tree or wooden post to prevent the attached device from rotating.

· Make sure the swivel head mount is firmly screwed into the tree mount bracket to prevent inadvertent rotation of the tree mount bracket once the device it attached to the swivel ball head.
